The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is a fully funded scholarship for international students covering tuition, monthly allowance (KRW 900,000-1,000,000), airfare, settlement allowance, and Korean language training.

For English-taught programs, no. However, basic Korean helps with daily life. Many universities offer free Korean language classes to international students.

D-2 visa holders can work up to 25 hours per week with a part-time work permit from the immigration office. You must maintain a GPA above 2.5/4.0 to be eligible.

Monthly costs range from $500-$1,000. University dormitories are the cheapest option at $150-400/month. Seoul is more expensive than other cities like Busan or Daegu.
